"Glee" channeled the town from "Footloose" Thursday night in a new episode called "The End Of Twerk."  Jane Lynch's character Sue Sylvester was the one to lead the battle against the dance craze "pandemic."

Her longtime rival, Matthew Morrison's Mr. Schuester, stood up for his glee club students and what he called their "right" to twerk to their hearts' content.

He took to the halls with a rendition of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" in an act of defiance, that ended with Sue's threatening to fire him yet again.

Sue had more cruel words for Miley Cyrus as well, blaming her for corrupting the minds of the high-schoolers.  But the show couldn't have a twerking episode without one of her songs.  Melissa Benoist's Marley covered Miley's hit "Wrecking Ball."

The episode ended with Mr. Schuester giving up the battle, after Sue started to play dirty by bullying the club's transgender student Unique.  The group stuck by her side and they decided to cover "On Our Way" by The Royal Concept for their competition instead.

Miley, however, is completely unfazed. This week she released a twerktastic video promoting her upcoming "Bangerz" tour.

Tickets go on sale November 16.
