(Yahoo!) - There are consequences for not taking heed to Beyoncé song “Bow Down (I Been On)," ask R&B singer Keyshia Cole.

The “Enough Of No Love” singer’s criticisms of the lyrical content of Beyoncé’s song has upset more than just fans of Pepsi’s newest spokesperson. It has affected her relationship with super producer The-Dream, hitmaker behind “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” and “Umbrella.”

When asked if he would work with Cole, post her Twitter lashing, he said no. “Right now because of what happened, I can’t,” he told The Breakfast Club, the morning show for New York’s Power 105.1. “That’s my family.”

The-Dream said if prompted, he would be honest with Cole. “You have a grown up conversation. Like, ‘You talking about my family,’” he said, describing how he would approach the subject.

After hearing The-Dream’s response, Cole responded via Twitter:

Cole received support from fellow R&B singer, Teyana Taylor. “GO @KeyshiaCole !! You don’t him, you’ve got enough talent to do your thang mama,” she said in a Twitter post.

Cole called Beyoncé’s “Bow Down (I Been On)” lyrics hypocritical in a Twitter post on March 18, the day after the song leaked online. “Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh-t when convenient 2 FOH,” she wrote.
