Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav is making progress in his probation stemming from a 2012 domestic violence case.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the emcee's legal team was in a Las Vegas courtroom Monday to report that he's completed the 12 domestic violence counseling sessions he was ordered to take as part of his plea deal.

Flavor Flav - born William Drayton Jr. - plans to continue his counseling.  Flav will be on probation for one year.  In April he pled guilty to misdemeanor charges of attempted battery and battery constituting domestic violence.  By pleading guilty, he avoided a possible 12-year-jail sentence for felony domestic violence charges.

In 2012, Flavor Flav was accused of getting into a physical confrontation with his fiancée and her then 17-year-old son.  He also reportedly threatened the boy while chasing him around their home with two kitchen knives.
