Meek Mill will remain behind bars until at least October.  On Monday a Philadelphia judge denied the emcee's appeal for an immediate release from a three to six month jail sentence for violating his probation.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the judge also ordered Meek Mill - born Robert Williams - to take anger management classes, parenting courses and drug and alcohol counseling while behind bars.  If Meek doesn't complete the courses, he will likely remain in jail for the full six months.

The rapper's legal team isn't giving up their fight.  His lawyer plans to ask the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to take over the case.

Meek Mill was jailed in July for refusing to update the court on his touring schedule.  He was also accused of not giving his probation officer a reliable phone number.  Meek Mill has been on probation since 2009 for a drug and gun possession conviction.
